STEAM Construction Update
The STEAM building is taking shape as the steel frame is nearly completed.  Over the next couple of months, the roof and exterior walls will be added, the building will be fully enclosed, and work will begin on the interior. The relatively dry weather during the Fall made it possible to complete the foundation, slabs for the basement and first floor, and footings before the heavy rains started, and construction continues to progress on schedule. Â
Performing Arts Center/New Alan Harvey Theater Update
California’s Division of State Architect (DSA), the agency that regulates public school construction, issued the permit for the Performing Arts Center/New Alan Harvey Theater. Construction is scheduled to begin this Summer. As expected, DSA imposed a range of additional structural requirements for this project, and Overaa Construction is working to incorporate these changes and revise the project budget. Staff will report on the revised budget in January.          Â

Review and discuss the Measure H1 facilities update. Â
